How to Enable Push Notifications for The Post & The Press - Mobile: Android

On Your Mobile (Instructions below are for Android only)

1. Open Chrome on your Android phone and go to: https://www.thepost.co.nz/
2. Log in using your subscription email address.
3. Browse at least 2 articles, and you will see a prompt to ‘Add The Post to your home screen’’ - Click on ‘Install now’, this will place a The Post icon on your home screen.
    

4. Tap the new The Post icon to open it and log in using your subscription email address.

• If your phone is Android 12 and under - You don’t need to do anything further, our news push will reach your phone on time.
• If your phone is Android 13 and forward -

5. Tap on any article to open it. You’ll then be prompted to allow push alerts:
   • Tap “Yes, please”.
   • Then tap “Allow” on the second pop-up to confirm notifications.

✅ That’s it! You will start receiving push notifications from The Post on your Android Device.
